If you are used to the world of Pokémon GO or Jurassic World The Game, you might have noticed that experience is gained relatively differently in JWA. In this very simple and brief article, we’ll go over the following aspects:

  • Player progression;
  • How to gain experience and how it’s calculated;
  • Potential future means of gaining experience.

Player progression (XP per level requirements)

To state the obvious, in JWA, players get to level up their character. Doing so will allow you to collect more DNA during the Drone Sequence. The table below shows all the information.

Player Level XP required  Cumulated XP Max DNA per Dart
Common Rare Epic
1 0 0 11 7 6
2 50 50 12 8 7
3 850 900 13 9 8
4 4,300 5,200 14 10 9
5 11,100 16,300 15 11 10
6 15,200 31,500 16 12 11
7 30,800 62,300 17 13 12
8 51,000 113,300 18 14 13
9 74,300 187,600 19 15 14

How to gain experience

Edit: There currently isn’t any other multiplier, but rather a delay in the rewarding of XP for fusion, which might make it look like you are receiving more XP than you should for evolutions.

There currently are only three ways to gain experience:

  • Creation: Creating a new Dinosaur in your Lab. The way the amount of experience rewarded is calculated is as follows:

XP gain = DNA cost X [rarity tier value]

Yes, it’s that simple! The value for each Rarity Tier goes as follows:

Rarity Tier DNA Multiplier
Common 1
Rare 5
Epic 10
Legendary 25
Unique 50

Therefore, creating a new Rare Dinosaur requiring 100 DNA will reward you with a total of 500 XP.

  • Evolution: Evolving a Dinosaur in your Lab. The way the amount of experience rewarded is calculated is as follows:

XP gain = DNA cost X [rarity tier value]

Once again, it’s that simple. However, the Rarity Tier value goes as follows for evolutions:

Rarity Tier DNA Multiplier
Common 1
Rare 3
Epic 10
Legendary 30
Unique 100

Therefore, evolving an Epic Dinosaur requiring 100 DNA will reward you with a total of 1000 XP.

  • Fusing: Fusing DNA towards a Hybrid rewards some experience. Thanks to Nathan96, we have found out that there is now a formula!

XP Gain = ([DNA Requirement for Dino #1] X [rarity tier value]) +  ([DNA Requirement for Dino #2] X [rarity tier value])

Rarity Tier Rarity Tier Value
Common 1
Rare 3
Epic 10
Legendary 30

For example,, fusing Indominus Rex DNA requires 500 of Velociraptor DNA and 50 Tyrannosaurus Rex DNA. Therefore, the formula would be (500 X 1) + (50 x 10) = 1000 XP gained!

Potential future mean of gaining experience

As you may know, it seems that there are indications in the code of the introduction of quests in the future. Quests are already an important of Jurassic World The Game, both in terms of getting resources, but also in order to gain experience and level up.

With that being said, it is very likely that once the quest system is implemented in JWA, that daily quests will also reward experience. However, Ludia can always surprise us and leave experience gain strictly to creations and evolutions.
