Today we had boosts reset back to original values and we decided to dive into the datamine from the few updates we’eve gotten so far! As usual, none of these items are required to be put into use, but they’re in the code now so we’re speculating they may have use at a later time. If you’d like to see our BIG datamine article with the big finds, you can check out this article here.

Be warned, the information below has many spoilers! If you do not wish to know this information, stop reading now and check out our Dinodex instead.

Swap-In Stun Fixed:

Ludia announced that they fixed the swap in stun mechanic we previously discussed (it had changed from 66% chance to stun to 100% chance to stun) so this is the new state of normal. It appears it was indeed unintentional.

New Events

There are now a bunch of new events in the list and one change to an existing event that we already saw enacted (see: Pterosaurs adding Scaphognathus). These new events have a special surprise, as one of them appears to include IRRITATOR WHICH IS WHAT WE HAVE BEEN WANTING FOREVER.

The new events also seem to be broken out into regions. This could mean that new regional events are prevalent in certain areas, or that special incubators will be sold for just certain regions, or perhaps even that at some point there will be dinosaurs exclusive to certain regions like exists in another popular AR game. Then again, it also could correspond to where those dinosaurs were DISCOVERED which seems far  more likely.

That looks like a fun week!!!

Move Changes

Both Prowl and Swap In Prowl now have the added cleansing affect that is described in the tooltip. It appears these cleansing effects were not added prior.

This does fix the prowl move from the original 1.7.27 release so now it should be functioning as advertised. I sure would love to see a dino with swap in prowl!

This is really really big.

We’ve been so disappointed with the lack of Irritator and it appears our wishes were granted. There is a FIREWORKS incubator in the store… and although there is no fourth of July week listed… i would bet it’s coming. And I would bet money on the following being in the featured week:

Dimetrodon G2
Irritator G2

Talk about a light show. 😀 Let’s hope this happens.

Changes That Aren’t Here

It may be unsurprising but it is worth noting how many changes we checked that are not in the code. We compared all dino names to existing, found nothing new there. We compared all moves to existing known moves, nothing new (besides the prowl functionality above). We compared all locals and globals and weekly spawns and found all those check out as per usual. It seems the core fix that was desired has to do with the stat boost reset (as we had hoped) and it looks like that was completed.

Parting Words:

Nothing earth shattering in here, part of the reason we didn’t do a datamine article for 1.7.27 or 1.7.30. We’ll keep digging into the code to see if anything else was snuck in but our expectation is there won’t be much that’s all that new.

All in all, looking forward to those themed weeks and those Irritator attempts! Sure hope they come soon!
