Explorers! Truth be told, we knew about this week’s schedule, but were not allowed to share the information until now! Worry not, we have all the information for you right here! Yes, Ludia extended the event for an eighth consecutive week!

This eighth week of Featured Dinosaurs brings in (for most) Dinos that had not previously been available as Featured Dinos, but also creatures that are extremely rare in the wild.

Schedule

Although we do not get new Dinos this week (again), we certainly get stronger and even more useful Dinos! Here they are in order from left to right. Please note that unlike past weeks, we have a combination of Dinos appearing throughout multiple days. So a projected schedule is:

Monday+Tuesday (10 attempts in total)

Postosuchus Koolasuchus Gen 2
Postosuchus Koolasuchus Gen 2

Wednesday (3 attempts)

Gorgosuchus
Gorgosuchus

Thursday (12 attempts)

Nundasuchus
Nundasuchus
Friday+Saturday+Sunday (15 attempts)

TARGET DINO FOR WEEK 8

Special Event: How does it work? – MUST READ

The Special Event (although now a permanent feature) works as follows:

  • You have a set amount of hours to collect DNA from the Featured Dinos, as indicated on the event dino/drop once you open them;
  • Cycles always begin 10:00 a.m. EDT and last for however many hours indicated on that day;
  • During the given time period, there will be 1-3 different Featured Dinos and you will have a combined amount of attempts for the Dinosaurs together! For example, if you need more Sarco DNA then Tany DNA, you could do 20 Sarco attempts and only 4 Tany! Vice versa, if you need more Tany DNA than Sarco DNA, you could do more Tany attempts than Sarcos;
  • The number of attempts are as the same as the last few weeks, except possibly Rares, which they have updated. Note that you have to add the number of attempts assigned to the first Featured Dino’s Tier with the one from the second Featured Dino’s Tier to know how many attempts you will have.
  • Another unreported update is that Ludia seemingly has increased Rare attempts to 5 each.
  • Number of attempts based on the Tiers:
    • Common: 12
    • Rare: 5
    • Epic: 3
    • Legendary: 1
    • Unique: 1

Which Dinos to focus on during Week 8 of the event?

MegalosuchusWeek 8 is obviously going for Megalosuchus! Although we get Postosuchus which leads to Tryostronix, Week 8 is undoubtedly focused on Megalosuchus! While Megalo doesn’t have much Health, it certainly has access to some decent moves, and having a Shield as well as Counter as passive certainly make this Dinosaur a fierce opponent in the Arena!

NundasuchusFor Commons, it is fairly straightforward considering there is only one Dinosaur, Nundasuchus. Nunda is already a very common Dinosaur in the wild, so feel free to take the day off. However, you will need this DNA to evolve the powerful Einiasuchus!

This week is undoubtedly a Rare Fest! With the highest number of rares in a week, we have Koolasuchus Gen 2, Postosuchus, Gorgosaurus, Kaprosuchus and Megalosaurus. So which ones to go for really depends on where you live. If you live in Local 1, prioritize Megalosaurus over Kaprosuchus, but if you’re in Local 2, then definitely get as many Kaprosuchus as you can. As for Local 3 and 4 folks, it depends on which ones you have less, or which one you have less access to.

After that, the next Dino you should prioritize is Postosuchus. Postosuchus is a very strong Rare and has the highest turn 1 damage output in the game. Gorgosaurus and Koolasuchus Gen 2 are Global Rares. Both aren’t that worth going after, although Gorgosaurus has a bit more value since it can fuse into Gorgosuchus.

To know more about Locals, check out the following articles:

GorgosuchusThe Epic Gorgosuchus on Wednesday is undoubtedly a no brainer. It is extremely rare in the wild, and it is also quite rare in Incubators. It is required to be level 15 in order to begin fusing DNA for Megalosuchus, so do not waste a single dart!

In short, here’s what we recommend:

Monday+Tuesday: Focus on Postosuchus.
Wednesday: Well… There’s only one Dinosaur.
Thursday: Well… There’s only one Dinosaur but not really worth it.
Friday+Saturday+Sunday: Focus on Kaprosuchus and Megalosaurus.

New Incubators in the store

Week 7 Incubators are now gone, and we have two new Incubators in the store to replace them.

First, we have the usual Rare Incubator which contains this week’s showcase! Considering how this week’s most interesting Dinos from the entire Showcase are spread out through Rares unlike other previous weeks, one may think that it is a good idea to go for this Incubator. However, keep in mind that there are five Rare Dinosaurs this week, so the odds of actually obtaining the DNA you wish for through this Incubator are thin! However, We still believe that Incubators are generally overpriced and that it’s always best to simply go out and hunt!

Second, we have our famous themed Incubator, which is an Epic this week and showcases Dinosaurs with Immune! Therefore, one should expect to obtain Dinosaurs such as the followings:

Immune is a very decent ability, however Dinos with immune are not the best in the game right now. The only Dino with a decent Hybrid here are Dimetrodon and Postimetrodon, which are both decently Commons in the wild, considering their rarities. We maintain the same opinion via Incubators: we prefer playing and grinding over spending money (even though we allow ourselves to buy a few now and then).

There currently isn’t any deal on Cash and/or Coins, but it wouldn’t be surprising for one to pop-up throughout the week. We will keep you posted on that end!

Parting Words

We are very excited to know that we have an eighth week of Featured Dinosaurs to look towards for! Even though we are not given a shot at a Legendary, the fact that the target Dinosaur for this week is Megalosuchus, a Counter Dinosaur (personal favorite), we are quite excited!

  1. Nundasuchus is 100% worth it, especially when you don’t have many high level dinos, because it is used to fuse both Einiosuchus and Majundasuchus, and for me, it has been spawning much less frequently in the past few weeks.
